 Tis’ the Season!

Tis’ the season to be merry

Love, joy, and blessings 

our hearts do carry. 

The acts of kindness


With many well wishes 

We bring to everyone 

Along with lots of tasty dishes.

Decorations and plenty of fun.


People laughing and singing carols.

Of holiday times and memories. 

The celebrations travel around the world.

For many little boys and girls.


Presents and gifts for all to see.

when they go out and visit family.

Welcoming a brand new year.

For each and everyone to share. 


No matter whether they’re young or old. 

With a card or Secret Santa surprise to give

Good tidings are wished with greetings told.

Wishing happiness to anyone to receive as we live.


Out the days and weeks as time goes by.

The joy and peace of Christmas brighten our eyes.

Good feelings we share for many reasons,

with the faith and love of this beautiful season.


Hearts are full of love from far and near.

Reciting in echoes for all to hear.

All the smiles make it very clear

That holiday time for so many is very dear. 


Happy Holidays from me to you

Hoping that all dreams and wishes come true.

For all that need anyone to believe.

In what this season brings and what you receive.


Let the joy fill the hearts 

Bless the ones who are new,

Caress the ones that are suffering.

Remember the ones that used to be.


Keep all inside our lives in memories

Forever holding them close we should all agree.

what this season is really… supposed to bring.   

A togetherness of our minds, full of love for the world to see.

    

Open our arms and share your thoughts 

You have a purpose to do more work

And bring good hope for all, anywhere.

no matter who they are, we all should care. 


Let the light that shines inside our hearts

ignite the fire and send some sparks.

To start the journey in a hurry,

What Is a Name? -Shoshana Eitz

What is a name? Is it a pathway, a label, or a title? Or is it just a term that your guardians gave you, what your friends call you?  My first name means tree, my middle name is a flower, while my given last name means scribe; my married name meaning church. As strange as it may seem, these words or "names" accurately capture who I am. Because of my strong connection to trees, how I choose to mutilate a piece of paper matters a lot. On the remains of the dead tree, the ink stains produce an enduring tattoo of unfiltered feelings and provocative thoughts. Little things, daily miracles, calm moments, and even the midst of mayhem can all be beautiful to my eyes. Do you visualize or conceptualize your thoughts? Did you know that approximately 3% of the population possesses a trait known as Aphantasia? This isn't a disorder, illness, or limitation; rather, it's a neurological trait where individuals cannot create mental images. I fall into that 3%. This means I cannot visualize anything at all; when I close my eyes, no images materialize. If you ask me to envision an apple, I cannot. Yet, I can eloquently describe every detail about it: the hues, the weight, the taste and texture, how and where it flourishes, and the appearance of its tree and leaves. My mind resembles a file cabinet brimming with information, devoid of visuals. Those with Aphantasia often find themselves drawn to the realms of the scientific community or professions entwined with numbers. Survival Mode— As a child, I learned to fawn. Every breath was a careful negotiation to appease my mother, her moods like changing weather—sunshine one moment, stormy the next. It was born of her emotional clench, the jagged edge of her words piercing deeper than any physical blow. I danced on the edge of her wrath, longing for her approval, trembling under the weight of a love that twisted and stung. When passion ignites, I fight. I lash out with words, fierce and unrelenting. It’s a desperate struggle, a wild grasp at hope—an ember in the dark. I contend with the shadows for a glimmer of light, a whisper of possibility. In those moments, I am a warrior, standing firm against the tide, even if the ground is crumbling beneath my feet. Then, there comes the flight.
